They are often best told with a clear lens focused on a compelling subject. What gets us really excited is when they are shared in the context of an immersive experience. At Turn, we live to animate stories by creating environments of magnetic beauty and effortless functionality.
For over twenty years Craig Wollen's creative visions have shaped the look and feel of hundreds of programs and projects for industry leading brands, retailers, corporations, start-ups, and individual homeowners.
Craig Wollen has spent the better part of two decades making retail and branded spaces more interesting. His ability to connect with both clients and consumers has earned him a rare reputation: creative and bold, yet humble and easy to work with.
Craig worked his way through college as an architectural designer and draftsman while earning a degree in Industrial Design. His early career included work as a trade show and interpretive exhibit designer. His inspired work led him to a firm in Eugene, OR-Mobius Inc. As Creative Director, Craig was charged with building an in-house design department while burnishing the company's reputation as a retail and branded environments creative powerhouse. It was during this period that he won a series of design awards for both trade show exhibits and retail environments for clients such as the University of Oregon, adidas, and House of Blues.
Later, Craig started a successful agency, space/craft, continuing award-winning work for adidas and Macy's. Additional career stops at Twenty Four 7, Huen and now Turn has allowed Craig to refine and amplify his skills, garnering additional awards. In a career highlight, he won the International Store of the Year award from the Retail Designer's Institute in 2014 for the Umpqua Bank San Francisco flagship store. The jurors lauded the store for its warmth and innovation, with a keen focus on hospitality.
With skills as an excellent communicator, architectural designer, retail designer, merchandiser–and the ability to focus on the details–Craig has the breadth of abilities to span industries, markets, and trends to create works that work.
